One Dead after Forsyth County Tractor-Trailer Accident

Early on the morning of November 16, 2012, 43-year-old Peter Trione of Cumming was operating a 2007 black Ford F150 truck eastbound on Highway 369 near its intersection with Hubert Martin Road. For reasons not yet known, Trion's truck veered off the road, and when he overcorrected in an attempt to get back onto the roadway, his truck crossed the center line directly into the path of a tractor-trailer headed westbound on Highway 369. Trione's truck was hit violently by the tractor-trailer on the passenger side and pushed all the way down Highway 369 to the 4400 block of Matt Highway. The tractor-trailer ended up crossing back over the roadway, and finally, came to a stop in a pasture.

Trione sustained fatal injuries during the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene; the 52-year-old tractor-trailer driver Troy Lee Emanuel of Dahlonega was transported to Northside Hospital Forsyth with minor injuries. The tractor-trailer driven by Emanuel is used to transport chickens and owned by Mountain Milk of Gainesville, Georgia. At the time of the accident, the tractor-trailer was not carrying any live chickens. Georgia Highway 369 remained closed until the accident scene was cleared.

Accidents like these deeply affect everyone involved--especially family members and friends who lose a loved one. Since the tractor-trailer driver has not been found thus far to have broken any laws or found to be at-fault for the accident, there is no liability and hence, no case. The cause of the crash is still pending investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, and so far, alcohol has not been implicated in the crash.

After being involved and a five car accident I contacted Casey Stevens law firm. I was given his number by a fellow coworker at my job who had used him in the past and was very satisfied with his services. The car accident included myself my husband and my son, the accident was determined to be the fault of two drivers involved in the accident. Casey personally came to my home the next day and said down with me and my family at the kitchen table and went over all the events of the accident. There were months and months of physical therapy, doctor visits injections and while my son had to have his mouth wired after having his jaw broke in three places. Casey and his staff worked continuously on our case and after it was all said and done, they where able to get us over $300,000 in damages. I really want to Thank Casey Stevens and his staff for always being available for phone calls and answering any questions I might have. I will continue to recommend potential clients to Casey Stevens law firm. Nina F
